WELCOME TO

“Thalassemia Run 2025” -  Organized by NTR Memorial Trust on the occasion of
“World Thalassemia Day” on 19th July 2025.

Join us for the Thalassemia Run 2025, a powerful initiative by NTR Memorial Trust aimed at raising awareness, promoting education, and generating support for individuals affected by Thalassemia.

Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder characterized by the body’s inability to produce adequate amounts of haemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. This deficiency can lead to a variety of symptoms, including severe anaemia, fatigue, and other complications that may affect overall health. This run is being organized to spread awareness about Thalassemia and the need for generous Blood donation by every individual for providing regular Blood Transfusion and Medication to Thalassemia patients.

OUR MISSION

Raising Awareness. Supporting Lives. Advancing the Cure for Thalassemia.

India has the highest number of Thalassemia cases globally, with over 150,000 individuals currently affected. Each year, more than 10,000 children are born with this serious genetic blood disorder. Despite being manageable with early diagnosis and consistent treatment, less public awareness continues to impact thousands of families across the country.

NTR Trust is committed to changing that.

NTR Memorial Trust Thalassemia Care Centre is committed to supporting individuals affected by Thalassemia through comprehensive and compassionate care. To date, the Centre has provided free blood transfusions and essential medications to over 226 individuals living with Thalassemia, reflecting its ongoing dedication to accessible, life-saving healthcare.
